Our name—derived from the ancient Greek word “ariston” (ἄριστον), meaning perfection and excellence, and a play on our founder’s name, Aris Georgakis—reflects a long-standing commitment to engineering performance, integrity, and world-class service across every project we undertake.

The journey began in 1978, when Aris Georgakis entered the pump industry and quickly established himself as a pioneer in engineered pumping solutions. Over the years, he worked with some of the most respected names in the industry, including Goulds Pumps, Peerless Pumps, and Patterson Pumps, developing deep technical expertise in both water and fire protection systems.

In 1997, this experience led to the establishment of an independent engineering and sales office in Athens, Greece under the name Patterson Pump Company LTD (Greece). Known to customers and agents for decades, this operation became the foundation upon which Ariston Pumps is built today. During this period, the company earned a strong reputation for technical excellence and trusted partnerships across the commercial, industrial, and oil & gas sectors, while also contributing to the development of firefighting specifications for civil defense authorities in countries such as the UAE, Kuwait, and Egypt.

Today, Ariston Pumps has grown into a multidisciplinary team of more than 35 professionals, including engineers across multiple disciplines, document controllers supporting large-scale industrial projects, and specialized field engineers. This growth has positioned the company as the world’s largest sales and engineering office dedicated to fire pump systems—measured not only by size, but by the confidence and trust of its clients.

Over the past four decades, hundreds of thousands of fire pump and water pump systems have been delivered to projects worldwide, demonstrating consistent performance, scalability, and reliability in the most demanding environments.
